Can anything good come out of the desert?

Ah, the desert.
What do you think of when you hear the word -desert?

Whether the word is used as a noun, adjective, or verb, it's doesn't usually conjure up thoughts or pictures of a desirable state of being, nor a prime place to be.

desert- (noun) - arid land with usually sparse vegetation; a desolate or forbidding area;
desert-(adjective)- desolate and sparsely occupied or unoccupied
desert-(verb)
to quit one's post, allegiance, or service without leave or justification; to withdraw from or leave usually without intent to return.

So what good can come out of the desert or those 'desert' experiences where things may be a bit dry in your life, or you may be feeling pretty dry spiritually?

Well, that's my journey at the moment. I do physically live in a desert area where brown is the color of the day, and it can be hot, and there can be challenges to grow things you want to grow. Yet, seems I'm also in a desert place in life at the moment. As a self-employed, entrepreneurial soul, wh
o does contract work in several areas... I have no contracts at the moment. No matter how I shade my eyes and strain to scan the desert landscape, I don't see an oasis in the distance.

But I know God is here, and He will provide.

And I'm using this time to challenge myself in writing and in my photogr
aphy. I'm going to create images each day using what I find...in the desert. It's easy to take beautiful photos when you have beautiful places to photograph. But what happens when you have to use what you have available to try to make something beautiful out of it? Well, if anything, these will serve as exercises.

all things are possible...
